Rebecca Taylor is one of my favorite designer. I always go for feminine style with uniquely beautiful colors and her designs are all about that.
This is an interview with her by Michigan Avenue and pictures of me wearing her design.
How would you describe your brand?
REBECCA TAYLOR: It’s definitely very feminine, but not clawingly so. It still has a downtown edge to it.
Is there a celebrity, perhaps, that embodies the Rebecca Taylor girl?
RT: I always like Kate Hudson. She has a kind of independent, bohemian spirit that I really like. She always looks really feminine and a little bit hippie and really whimsical. I love her.
What trends do you see women gravitating toward most this spring?
RT: People are really responding to color. We’ve had a lot of jade green and corals and electric blues. One thing we’re selling a lot of is these really subtly embellished little cocktail dresses, [with] little hand-sewn mirrors all over them. It’s not as precious as a regular beaded dress, because the mirrors give a little bit of a hippie aspect to it.
